The Concept
Elizabeth Báthory (1560–1614) was a Hungarian noblewoman from one of the most powerful families in the kingdom. She was accused of the torture and murder of hundreds of young women at Čachtice Castle, and folklore says she bathed in their blood to keep her beauty. The back of this hoodie shows the Countess in her blood bath with her maidservant Darvulia, along with the dragon from the Báthory family coat of arms, and the front carries her original signature, taken from her will.
